TESC 89

This card was made for the sketch challenge at Taylored Expressions and also to get 'Hockeymomabella' dirty for the first time!! I am a hockey mama and I LOVE this stamp. I paper pieced the bag, skates and stick and added thread to look like the laces on the skates. I wish I had more time to do more with this and that my Spellbinders snowflakes weren't on backorder!! A nice big window sheet snowflake behind the white would have been adorable :(
But I was lucky to even get a card done with all that's going on around here! Work, hockey, work, cheerleading, gymanstics, work, homework, cheerleading, hockey, and our first competition of the season!! Wish Miranda's team luck at the Fall Classic this weekend at the Hershey Centre!

Here are my supplies:
Chatterbox Blizzard Stripe paper
Prism Brilliant white and Metallic Spring Larch
Hockeymamabella stamp
bow easy
SEI Twitterpated button
SU silver cord
Stampin Pastels (skates)
Copics
3D dots
Square Nesties
Brown ribbon
Black thread

Happy Halloween... Eeek!

These are the favors I made for the kids to hand out to teachers and special friends without peanut allergies. There are so many variations of this little tag box and they are so quick and easy to make for any holiday. I always do these for Valentine's day with pinks and reds and they look amazing.

This time for Halloween I used green and purple to get away from the popular orange and black.

Supplies:

Prism CS

SU punch

SU Too Terrific Tags

SU black embossing powder

Spider and web stamps (m)

Some Assembly Required

One of the booths I visited at the Creativ Festival was a US company called "Some Assembly Required". They do 3D paper creations from stencils, dies and stamps. I purchased the Dove and the Tree. Unfortunately I could only get the stencils as they only took cash and I had spent it all at Stamping Bella's booth since their debit machine was down! It was a lot of cutting!

I obviously need some practice but here are two cards I did for practice. You can still see the pencil marks on the tree as I used white cardstock for my practice run so I could better see what I was doing. They both fold flat and then pop open when you open the card!! How cute!! The dove card needs to be opened 360 degrees for it to take shape properly.

If you are going to check out the website... you've got to see the eggimals! How cute. They are on the top of my wish list :)

Creativ Festival

Today I took Miranda on the GO train for her first time and the two if us went to the Creativ Festival in Toronto!
We had such a good time looking at all the cool demos and new products. I came back totally inspired to create!
If I find enough time this week to get my house back in order from the weekend and my messy kids I will post some of the cool things we found!

This picture looked so much better on the camera! I would have tried another one but this cute little card is already in the mail! Sorry it's so dark :(
